1. Simple Present  

berfungsi untuk menyakatan suatu fakta, kebiasaan atau kejadian yang terjadi pada saat ini.
Contoh :

• kalimat tanpa kata kerja (S + to be + C)

1. (+)  We are the champion
    (-) We are not the champion
    (?) Are we the champion ?

2. (+) He is a gamer
    (-) He is not a gamer
    (?) is he a gamer ?

• Kalimat dengan kata kerja (S + V1 + s/es + C)

1. (+) He play dota 2 on computer

    (-)  He does not play dota 2 on computer

    (?) does he play dota 2 on computer ?

    Pasif : the dota 2 is played by me on computer

2. (+) Endi drink cappucino

    (-) Endi do not drink cappucino

    (?) does he drink cappucino?

    Pasif : cappucino is drunk by Endi

2. Present Continous

berfungsi untuk menjelaskan kegiatan yang "sedang" terjadi saat ini

struktur : S + to be + Ving + C

contoh :

(+) My mother is cooking rice 

(-) My mother is cooking rice

(?) is My mother cooking rice ?

Pasif : rice is being cooked by My mother

3. Present Perfect

berfungsi untuk menyatakan kegiatan yang "sudah" berlalu atau kejadian di masa lalu 

contoh :

• Kalimat tanpa kata kerja ( S + have/has + been + C )

1. (+) Indu has been graduated drive license

    (-)  Indu has not been graduated drive license

    (?) has Indu been graduated drive license ?

2. (+) The headache has gone

    (-) The headache has not gone

    (?) has the headache been gone ? 

• Kalimat dengan kata kerja  (S + have/has + V3 + C )

1. (+) I have played this game before

    (-) I have not played this game before

    (?) have you played this game before ?

    Pasif : the game has been played by me

2. (+) I have finished the exercise

     (-) I have not finished the exercise

     (?) have you finished the exercise ?

    Pasif : the exercise has been finished by me
